Just saw it on Fox Sports updates.. hope he's OK.

Apparently it was a head injury. He got hit and his head hit the ground hard...............taken to the hospital where he is alert and has full use of his extremeties.............

Ironically... I thought about that Tampa game today. Someone was run out of bounds into one of the first down marker holder guys... i looked for Payton and saw he was behind the play. That was nasty..

At least he had a long time to recover. The whole bounty thing shortly after that injury was like adding insult to injury.
