A 2013 second-round bust, Banks played college ball across from Darius Slay at Mississippi State. While Slay has developed into one of the NFL's best and highest-paid corners, Banks showed a distinct lack of athleticism early in his pro career and couldn't get on the field under new DC Mike Smith. Banks' draft pedigree might warrant a waiver claim from a cornerback-desperate team, but he's an extreme long shot to pan out at this point.

Worth a shot?

Worth kicking the tires with our injuries. Smart player. Healthy. Went into the doghouse with TB under new coach & never made it out. Was a better player than Slay at MSU but Slay was more NFL ready.

Everyone wanted the big, long corners like Banks & SJB. Guess they forgot to figure out if they could actually play.
