Wilson too? Bring them both in, I always thought they were both solid players.

Wow! This guy had two really solid years in Buffalo in the 3-4 and the 4-3. He was good with the Packers but had trouble staying healthy his last year with them before being released. Man, the 3-4 market is starting to open up and we'll be able to fill some gaps with some vets for cap friendly salaries. I wouldn't mind us bringing this guy in and letting him compete for the ILB spot. He's a really good solid player who could help us.

For some reason Wilson fell off the map and lost snaps last year but was still productive when he played
The last guy we got from Buffalo worked out pretty well.
He hasn't missed a game in two years. He's played better than any LBer we've had over the past 3 years of so.31 years old... And he has battled so many injuries.
I disagree. I think his play was up and down at times but he certainly didn't have a bad year. To be honest, that whole defense didn't play well at times. Not sure you can blame it on one player. Barnett is a good LBer and he can be good depth for us and compete for a spot. With a stressed out cap, these are the types of moves we'll have to look at. My only question is will he fit into what Ryan is trying to do.the guy certainly did not have two solid years in buffalo.
he had a good first, and last year was AWFUL. i dont know if he was playing hurt, or just hit the wall but he was the worst LB in a LB unit that might have been worst in the league.
great guy, but not a great player any longer.
If I recall correctly, he's a weakside backer in the 3-4, not a strongside guy.would be a good SILB backup for Lofton. Only problem with that is that he doens't play special teams and the other potential backup to that spot is Will Herring and he does.
Wow they cut George Wilson also. Pro Football Focus graded Wilson as the No. 8 safety in the entire league. Always liked Wilson
Wow!!! What the heck is going on in Buffalo? Man I'll take both of these cats. They also cut George Wilson. Do want!!
Don't know about that. Vilma sucked in a 3-4 when he was good healthy and relatively young. Barnett did quite well in the scheme. I'd surely not want vilma back, at any price, it'd be a dollar too many. But barnett..as a reserve, if he's really cheap, why not?Why go after Barnett at any price when we already have Vilma? Same player in essence.
