Needless to say, Rivers wouldn't be under the MVP radar either.

What it means: The Kansas City Chiefs have to be thrilled. After beating Denver to improve to 8-4, the Chiefs watched Oakland move into a tie for second place (the Raiders own the tiebreaker over San Diego because they swept them) at 6-6. If the Chargers lose next week at home to the Chiefs, they will be eliminated from the AFC West after winning the past four division crowns. The Chargers were 19-0 in December in the Phillip Rivers' era before Sunday’s decisive defeat.

Chargers are already done.

I for one will be glad to stop hearing about how amazing they are and how they are hottest team in the NFL because they won three freakin games in a row.

3 maybe 4 media darlings down and out.. DAL, MIN, IND, and SD

:9:

San Diego isn't even a big football market. I have no idea why the media slobs all over them.

At least with the Cowboys you understand the ratings angle. The Chargers can barely sell out their dump of a stadium.

But ESPN said the Chargers can never lose in December! What?!

Glad there's some new blood in that division. KC will deservedly win it.

I stared at your sig for a good 2-3 minutes waiting for something to happen...

Hopefully same as AFC South. Time to change a new champ in their division.

I'll take the Jags. MJD deserves something good down there.

But ESPN said the Chargers can never lose in December! What?!

The stat curse strikes again!
