Just decided to post this because I knew alot of Saints fans wanted him. Looks like he's off the market now. I'd like to go after Shockey.

The Seahawks are close to signing free agent TE Alge Crumpler, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

He'd reunite with likely 2009 Seahawks head coach Jim Mora. The Titans seemingly weren't impressed with Crumpler after his Thursday visit. There's still reason to believe he can put up borderline TE1 numbers for Mike Holmgren.

That's great news for us.

Now Either Dustin Keller or Fred Davis might fall to us in the 3rd round (doubtful, but possible now).

New update from rotoworld

The agent for Alge Crumpler disputes a report that his client is close to signing with the Seahawks.

Crumpler will make one more visit before signing. That he's made three formal visits and been allowed to leave without a deal may be a sign he isn't checking out especially well physically. His next meeting may be with Buffalo.

The initial repot came from the AJC....his agent is denying this report per Sirius.
