It's never good news to hear that a player suffers a season-ending injury.

If the initial diagnosis is confirmed it would knock the starter out for the rest of the season and possibly end his career in Chicago. Garafolo adds that the timeframe for a recovery has yet to come fully into view.

so we take a chance and sign him this off-season to a cheap deal (because of its injury). Backup to Brees for a year. He starts for us in 2018 at 35 years old (until 2020). Under SP he rejuvenates his career and has two of its best season throwing the football... hmmm

But 1st he would have to be cut and Brees said he intends to play more than 2 years...

I was talking to my friend who is from Chicago and is a huge Bear's fan. Anyway, when talking about Cutler's injury, I noticed he had a smile on his face and he said, "Cutler's career was done three days after he was born."
Also, his hope is that somehow they will be able to snag Luck away from Indy after the season is over.
