ProFootballTalk.com - DRAFT PROSPECT BOWMAN ARRESTED

Former Oklahoma State wide receiver Adarius Bowman, who is expected to be a mid-round draft pick, has been arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana near his hometown of Chattanooga.

The Associated Press reports that Bowman was arrested Tuesday night and released on $500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

This is the second marijuana-related incident for Bowman, who transferred to Oklahoma State after North Carolina dismissed him as a result of a citation for marijuana possession.

In 24 games at Oklahoma State, Bowman finished fourth in school history with 127 receptions and 2,187 yards. Bowman is a good athlete who has all the physical tools to play receiver in the NFL, but this incident will cost him.

My oh my, how dumb must he be. This guy was pegged as one of the top receiver to come out of this draft. After a bad senior bowl which he looked like trash and combine where he continued to looked bad, he will not be drafted. I bet the drugs had something to do with the bad performances. I honestly didn't understand why he looked so bad recently, this could be it.

that's definitely not his only concerns. he was horrible at the senior bowl games and practice. he ran a 4.7 at the combine. and now he gets arrested. he may get picked up in the 7th but i'd stay far away. i'll stick to this opinion even if he becomes the next big thing. he hasn't showed the focus it takes to be an nfl player.

What a monumental collapse. Reminds me of Antaaj Hawthorne a few years ago who was a first round projection who tested positive for marijuana and ended up going in the 6th or 7th round.

One scout already went on record saying that Bowman ran his way into being an H-Back already, now he's an h-back with an arrest.

He just doesn't get it. He has the potential of making millions or being in jail or dead. That shouldn't be a tough choice.
