N/S Eagles to release CB Asomugha today (1 Viewer)

hope loomis makes this happen. he had his best years and built his reputation with ryan in oaktown. will already know the system.

its not happening. All of our competitors are signing top free agents while we're looking at 2nd tier.

Maybe we'll get Victor Butler, or Derek Cox. Thats about the best you can hope for at this point.

I thought Nmandi was now considered 2nd tier?

I'd love to grab him.

A source tells ProFootballTalk.com that free agent Nnamdi Asomugha's potential destinations include the Texans, 49ers, Broncos and Cardinals.

Two years ago, Asomugha was the No. 1 free agent available and landed a $60 million deal with the Eagles. Now he's on the free agency tour once again, except with a fraction of the appeal. This report sounds like an agent trying to drum up interest for his client. He's certainly not a logical candidate in Houston, where Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson are locked in as starting corners. per rotoworld

We should all probably close the door on the possibility of signing Nnamdi.

Saints are in on Nnamdi Asomugha derby, too, per league source. He played for defensive coordinator Rob Ryan in Oakland
