Yep. He should've been an all time Lion Great there.
The Detroit Sports Radio show has been pumping this scenario for a few weeks now. Pick Tua at 3 and trade Stafford. Or, if someone trades up to #2 to take Tua... take Chase Young and keep Stafford. Whether the story is true or not, this is what's been talked about exclusively on their show lately. The hosts sound like any two of us discussing the draft/trade possibilities for the Saints, except in Detroit's case, they are in a very good position should they decide to make a change. Many of the callers supporting the 'draft Tua' idea figure this move will buy Quinn an extra couple of years with ownership. Just reporting what I've been hearing everyday.
They had Blough (I think) filling in for injured Matt. Probably just roll with him. That' s interesting. If they drafted Tua, they'd need a body to fill in the interim while he gets healthy, though. I suppose they could just trade Stafford, call 2020 a wasted season and tank for another high pick, then crank it up next year, 76ers style.
Probably because Stafford isn't about to retire.I bet there isn't a hundred page thread on the Lions board about trading up for Burrow...
Stafford to the bucs would piss me off lolChucky isn't happy with Carr. I've been thinking that Teddy might be a target for him, but Stafford makes sense too.
Stafford to Tampa might make sense too. It would be a great spot for him with Godwin and Evans to throw to.
I'm not sure the Colts are satisfied with Brissett. That wouldn't be a bad spot either.
You just described the Saints from 1967-1986, and from 1994-1999. It happens.
