N/S Rafael Bush retires; Bills sign Kurt Coleman as replacement (1 Viewer)

Raphael Bush really was an underrated player. There was a point in his career where after playing a few years he still had only one missed tackle. And it wasn't because he'd only played a few snaps either.

They certainly do like Saints cast offs.

Bush sure laid down the law with the big hit on one of the Seahawks receivers in the 2013 playoffs. Course, this was the year the Seahawks got away with PI on every other play on their way to their lone championship. We weren't allowed to return that attitude. Bush was a solid player and should succeed in life after football.

You cant blame the Bills for that. That was on the Saints and thier medical staff. That's one of the reasons that they fired the entire medical staff. But they seem to have done the same thing with Cam Meredith. Bad knees are something that more often than not, you must take a pass on. Most of the time, players do not return to their former selves. See West Bank (KLew), Colston, McAllister, and others.

That hit fired me up. He made his presence known. That guy was a solid, physical player.

Coleman played horribly last season. I am glad the Saints have good enough players that the cut players get signed by other teams.

Outside of Poyer and Hyde the Bills were lacking some experience in the Safety room. He could be a good vet influence through camp and as injury insurance.
