Report: Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater Expected To Miss Entire 2017 Season - NFLTradeRumors.co

A Vikings’ source told Jason Cole of B/R that QB Teddy Bridgewater is likely to miss the entire 2017 season, due to the significant knee injury he suffered right before the start of the 2016 season.

According to Cole, doctors have told the Vikings that the shortest recovery time for Bridgewater’s injury is 19 months. With this in mind, the best-case scenario is that Bridgewater will be fully healthy by March of next year.

If true, that could effectively mean the end of his career.

Wow, what a terrible accident. I believe that he would've had a great year this year; feel bad for him.

Good lord, I knew it was bad, but never though it was that bad. Such an unfortunate thing to happen and in practice of all places.

He had such great potential pre-injury.

man I feel terrible for him. insane how quickly your life can change in the blink of an eye. I think it happened because on OL stepped on his foot as he was stepping back right? I know a dislocated knee is considered a medical emergency because of that artery. my knee hurts just thinking about it.

It was actually a non contact injury. He injured the knee when he planted the foot to throw a pass.

I remember reading several articles when the injury happened. Prompt treatment by the Vikings training staff prevented the leg below the
knee from being amputated. It was a gruesome injury.

He had a lot of upside potential. Sorry to hear ths.

I figured his injury was worse than first said. Why else would they spend a 1st rounder on Bradford? Very unfortunate cause he was exciting to watch.

I know the injury he had being in the field.

Most people would get physically sick seeing that type of injury.

I found this video. He could've lost his leg because of that injury.

I remember the medical staff savng his leg on the field before the ambulance was there.

It was a horrible and freak injury. I remember them saying potentially career threatening.

And that's exactly why a first round draft pick was spent on Bradford.

You can add the Vikings to the Tony Romo sweepstakes.
