Falcons agreed to terms on a five-year contract with SS William Moore. It's a big keep for Atlanta. Turning 28 in May, Moore flourished as a movable chess piece in Mike Nolan's 2012 Falcons defense, setting a career high in tackles (75) despite missing four games. Durability has been an ongoing issue, as Moore has played just one full, 16-game slate in his career. Still a takeaway specialist when healthy, he has five forced fumbles and 11 interceptions over the past three years. A favorite of Rotoworld IDP guru Jeff Ratcliffe, Moore should be targeted as a borderline DB1 in 2013 fantasy leagues. SOURCE: ADAM SCHEFTER ON TWITTER

5yrs 30million deal. That's a lot of money for a guy who's turning out to be injury prone

Good player. He's become what i hoped Jenkins would.

And somehow we he had to pay Roman Harper 8 million a year to retain him two years ago?

I'm still scratching my head at that contract.

Good deal for ATL. Harper robbed us.

Agreed but i hope Rob Can use him in a similar role to what 3G did. Or put him in man with a Safety over the top in a 335 nickel package...except vary his blitz responsibilities a little more. Its funny but theres a sub package in madden for this out of the Dime look.

Anyhow not that im suggesting it but id like to see him earn that contract next year if he can start. If not draft a guy in the 3/4 round like
Shamarko Thomas.. Some of us want elam but id be just as happy with this kid. Same kind of build but about an Inch shorter. More of a boom or bust because he could go the bob sanders path.

It was a terrible move to give Harper that contract. GW was in love with him and we panicked when Weddle signed the huge deal with SD.

I personally don't see a realistic spot for Harper on this defense, because we are gonna need a faster safety with better coverage skills...... And we are not switching him to linebacker, soo..….............:idunno:

The guy doesn't have to do half of what our safeties are asked to do bcause every team in football has a better front 7. We have zero lbs that should be starting in passing situations and maybe one that should be in on running downs. Our safeties aren't the best in football but with actual help they will only improve I wish our safeties were ble to only play upfield like 90% of the safeties in football but our front 7 can't stop the run or bump guys off of routes so our safeties are coming downhill all game long.

Moore missed so many tackles last season....Jenkins biggest knock here, yet Moore gets some love from saints fans who haven't dug up statistics on his inabilities

I wonder what William moores tackle/missed tackle ratio was compared to Jenkins...my money is that Moore missed quite a few more tackles per attempt
