Nice! I have one of the Yamaha 195 FSH boats. We're enjoying it so far. Took my son and his buddy out fishing the other day, and they had a blast even if we were only mainly catching gaftop catfish.
How do you like the jet boats? Did it take you long to get used to the docking?

I like it so far. It's actually the first boat I've ever owned. The usability of the entire platform is what sold me on it. There's no outboard off the back, so you have that entire area to use for seating, laying, fishing, tubing, etc. Yamaha did a great job laying out everything, and my 19' boat feels slightly bigger than a 19, at least to me. Also, being my first boat, I wanted to be sure I had a warranty and wasn't potentially dealing with someone else's problems while not being mechanically inclined.

As far as low speed steering and docking, I bought a pair of Thrust Vectors that act as extra rudders to help with responsiveness at low speeds. So instead of turning the wheel and waiting 4 or 5 seconds for a response, you get response in much less time. It's much more intuitive steering. Note, I also learned that if you happen to get into too shallow of water and get grounded with thrust vectors attached, lift the vectors up and push straight back or forward. Do not rock back and forth. A new set of thrust vectors later...

Here's a pic from the south side of Horn Island a few weeks ago and a pic from this past weekend with my son hooking into a fish.
