Didn’t garrapolo get similar money after winning only a handful of games?

Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if a desperate team overpaid for Teddy.

Really like Teddy and so Happy he is/ was on our team.. Yes, we were undefeated when he started, but our O amd coaching were fantastic during that stretch. He seems like a great guy and should definitely be starting somewhere next year. However, if you pay him $30M/year, I don’t see that team going very far.

I can see a desperate team with a lot of Cap space doleing out that contract. Remember last August it seemed almost unfathomable that Dak would get what he wanted 40 mil a year. Now he will be close to that number when he gets a new Contract be it from Dallas or elsewhere.

It's the market but I'm not sure who that team is. Jimmy G and Kirk got similar contracts. Even if he miraculously stayed with us, he would be looking at 60-80 mil for 2-3 years. You can't randomly pay QBs, they are the highest paid position on the field.

Dolphins, Colts, Bucs can all give him 1 year 30 mil and barely put a dent in their cap
I don't think he wants to be a bridge QB for a team about to draft a rook.
