The US Army made a FPS game available for free - America's Army - as a training and recruiting tool. Now NASA might be using game development as a way of using subscribers to reach some of its goals.

The idea is to create a virtual world that mimics the physics, scientific goals, and presumably the realistic mission profiles of the space agency's real-world activity.

Me thinks Nasa needs a new marketing department. This description hardly gets the blood pumping. Are they only trying to appeal to chemistry teachers?
