The playoffs (aka: the real season) are set. Get on record now.

(1) Boston v (8) Atlanta - Celts in 4
Celtics should coast into the Finals.

(4) Cleveland v (5) Washington - Cavs in 6
If the Wizards would have just kept their mouths shut I would have picked them. But, they went and po'd LeBron and that's not smart.

(3) Orlando v (6) Toronto - Raptors in 6
I just think the Raptors have more weapons.

(2) Detroit v (7) Philadelphia - Pistons in 6
Sixers are tough. They improved so much at the end but I can't see Detroit dropping out of the playoffs in rd 1

Again, Celtics are coming out of this mess against the Pistons.

Western Conference

(1) LA Lakers v (8) Denver - Lakers in 5
Denver may win game 3 at home but that's it. Lakers play D and the Nuggets do not.

(4) Utah v (5) Houston - Jazz in 6
This is strictly a pick against T-Mac getting out of the 1st round. Why should he end a great story line this year? I can already see him sitting down with Stephen A Smith talking about putting the team on his shoulders and losing.

(3) San Antonio - (6) Phoenix - Suns in 4
Actually, I'm thinking the Spurs in 7 in what will be a great series. Too bad this is a first round matchup. I'd like to have seen the Suns in more than one series.

(2) New Orleans - (7) Dallas - Hornets in 5
Hornets > Mavs

I see the Lakers edging the Spurs in game 7 at staples setting up a 80s matchup between Lakers and Celts for the championship.

For my completely non-homer picks, the Hornets lose in 6. Theyve looked like crap lately
