Good video here explaining what could possibly allow NCAA Football to return. I absolutely loved the college football game and have missed it greatly over the last few years.

of course EA is interested....the potential for monetizing another sports game probably makes their pants move
The return of NCAA Football makes my pants move. If / when it comes back, I will be there for the early release.
EA has managed to suck the life out of Madden for the past decade so this is probably a great idea
just remember the last NCAA game was released before the "great microtransaction flood of the 10s"
also, think of all of the features they stripped from Madden over the years to funnel players into the MUT game mode...
i imagine that a new NCAA will have significantly less features than it did in 2009...
The NCAA game was always better than Madden. The controls were better and somehow it felt more like football. All the different stadiums and different offenses helped I suppose.
that's probably just nostalgia for your days as a :realtigerfan:
but they were always mechanically the same game...NCAA just had more interesting features and options(create as team/player)...NCAA also felt like good players mattered where in Madden, all players felt like they had the same stats...
i agree about the NFL probably sticking their snout in the development in order to "protect the shield" or whatever dumbarse thing they say
i imagine that a new NCAA will have significantly less features than it did in 2009...
I'm still am a :realtigerfan:. I'll tiger bait your arse right now.
It's a good point about good players mattering in NCAA. But that's part of what I meant about the NFL interfering. They needed all the teams to be more or less leveled so fans of all NFL teams would buy it. They had to be equal or they couldn't play with their team online and that would hurt NFL marketing.
None of that existed in NCAA. But, I do think that the controls were always a little different. They just felt better. But it was also that it really felt like there were several different offenses and defenses you could play. A team that ran the Spread or the Spread option could not really fun a pro-set or I-formation offense. You could tell the difference and that added variety.
Of course, the LBs that could jump 100 foot high to intercept passes and CBs with ungodly ability to close on the ball and intercept existed. And O-Linemen would inexplicably fail to block guys in front of them. But overall it was just a better football game.
NCAA always ran about 1-2 years behind Madden in terms of incorporating features. It also necessarily had a few different controls, for things like the option. When you combine that with the disparity in player ratings, interesting (and mostly outdoor) stadiums and atmospheres, different plays and playbooks, and a few other things, you get a game that feels much different even though it's essentially the same engine.
I'll play some NCAA 20 if I can be Washington w/ Jake Locker and Jenkins as my TE.
