Certainly a missed opportunity for Kiel, but of all the QB recruits Kelly has now brought in, Malik Zaire is probably the one that truly fits his "system" the best. I don't think he'll be ready to start this year, but I don't think Kiel was a sure-thing long term -- when it comes to starting QBs at least.

Yeah... I remember thinking how out of character it was for Les to take a swipe at anyone... much less a recruit who chose to go elsewhere. Les had never shown a proclivity to harbor any resentment or bitterness towards any of the kids he coaches or recruits... Gunner has shown us why Coach Miles took a shot at his lack of intestinal fortitude when he ed-committed.

Rumor is he was caught cheating on a test. The initial rumors also had DaVaris Daniels involved as well, but so far that doesn't seem to be true.

Golson's statement indicates that he intends to return to the university for 2014.
