I was tooling around and found this blog called IKEAhacker

http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/

Shows you how to do all sorts of things with Ikea furniture. There are some great remodeling ideas in there. Some of which I'm already planning to use at some point. I'm very impressed.

i love IKEA. When my housemate moves his furniture out of the Louisiana house, i will be making the drive to Houston and bringing back a truckload.

You don't have to feel like you are taking a huge risk modding their stuff because a good sturdy dresser costs like $60.

They can't build an IKEA in Hammond or Baton Rouge soon enough.

Yea, I discovered IKEA back when I was living in the DC area. The store was only a couple miles from our townhouse in Woodbridge, VA. I was doing back flips when they opened the store in Frisco, TX.

I guess I've done a litte Ikea modding. I bought a couple of cabinets and mounted them for my entertainment center. I had to do several mods to get them to fit my purposes...
