So you'd have to quit your job that probably makes more than 17k in order to make 17k right? And you wouldn't even keep it all.

I can't imagine my job will give me "off" for those days

I have several friends who are on the "15 year plan" at college. This would work for some of them.

And no, I'm not talking about people who quit college to work full time. They are in all respects bums

I agree, the money is good. The only problem is that if you have a job you'll almost definitely lose it.

Yeah, but I doubt there's an option for doing it the whole year. And as KOS said, it would almost certainly require losing a steady job. That's why I said it would be a good deal for my aimless buddies. Good money, and they could do the exact thing they're doing now anyway.
