Neti Pot (1 Viewer)

I use the NeilMed Nasal Rinse with distilled water. I use it mostly after cutting grass and during heavy pollen days. Clear all that crap out. Definitely works.
That’s what I use for allergy-related post nasal drip. After 40 years of surfing and body boarding, warm salt water in my sinuses is nothing new :hihi:

That is what I use. It's much easier and much less messy than a neti pot. I started using it twice per day after I saw an allergy specialist years ago. I was taking daily 24 hour allergy medicine and Flonase on a daily basis, but I was still getting sinus infection 5 or 6 times a year. In the 10 or so years since I started using this, I've only gotten 2 or 3 sinus infections. But, I still take Allegra use Nasonex on a daily basis in addition to the NeilMed Sinus Rinse.

My wife has been a devoted user of the Neil Med system for years. Since the first reports about brain-eating amoebae, she has carefully boiled and cooled the water per the website instructions. Has worked so far.

My wife has used neti-pot for years. I’m still not really sure what it is.

I use the neti squeeze bottle with distilled water; works great at flushing all the gunk out. Be careful not to use too much pressure if you’re congested or your ears will hurt.

. . . and speaking of usage warnings:

Never, ever forget to add the salt pack to the water.

Or in a pinch, you can use just plain salt, although that can be a little harsh on the nose.

But never, ever pour fresh, unsalted water into the nostrils. Hurts like Hades. I can attest.

if a brain eating amoeba can survive what I have done to my spinal fluid and brain over the years, more power to it

I was also getting multiple sinus infections a year. The NeilMed worked well. But 3 years ago I started doing allergy immunotherapy. It has worked so well for me, I barely need allergy meds even during some of the worst pollen days.

I used one. I had really bad snot. I poured almost the whole pot thing of water up one nostril and nothing was coming out... Then whoosh, a big ball of snot and shirt came out along with the water and brain eating amoeba.
