The Patriots were among the first teams reported to be a potential suitor for six-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy earlier this month.
But almost as soon as McCoy was released from Tampa Bay, New England was apparently knocked out of the running.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, McCoy’s choices are down to the Ravens and Browns. The 31-year-old career Buccaneer recently took an overnight visit to Baltimore that lasted into Wednesday morning. McCoy visited Cleveland last week.
