Got this from my cousin in Kentwood. She wasn't too happy about it. Seems to be making the rounds all over the Internet.

Weather Bulletin - Denver

Up here, in the " Mile-Hi City ", we just recovered from a Historic event---

may I even say a "Weather Event" of "Biblical Proportions" --- with a

historic blizzard of up to 44" inches of snow and winds to 90 MPH that broke

trees in half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in

lethal snow banks, closed ALL roads, isolated scores of communities and cut

power to 10's of thousands.

FYI:

George Bush did not come.

FEMA did nothing.

No one howled for the government.

No one blamed the government.

No one even uttered an expletive on TV.

Our Mayor did not blame Bush or anyone else.

Our Governor did not blame Bush or anyone else, either.

CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX or NBC did not visit - or report on this category 5

snowstorm. Nobody demanded $2,000 debit cards.

No one asked for a FEMA Trailer House.

No one looted.

Nobody - I mean Nobody demanded the government do something.

Nobody expected the government to do anything, either.

No Larry King, No Shepard Smith, No Oprah, No Chris Mathews and No Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.

No Sean Penn, No Barbra Striesand, No Hollywood types to be found.

Nope, we just melted the snow for water.

Sent out caravans of SUV's to pluck people out of snow engulfed cars.

The truck drivers pulled people out of snow banks and didn't ask for a

penny.

Local restaurants made food and the police and fire departments delivered it

to the snowbound families.

Families took in the stranded people - total strangers.

We fired up wood stoves, broke out coal oil lanterns or Coleman lanterns.

We put on extra layers of clothes because up here it is "Work or Die".

We did not wait for some affirmative action government to get us out of a

mess created by being immobilized by a welfare program that trades votes for

'sittin at home' checks.

Even though a Category "5" blizzard of this scale has never fallen this

early, we know it can happen and how to deal with it ourselves.

"In my many travels, I have noticed that once one gets north of about 48

degrees North Latitude, 90% of the world's social problems evaporate."

It does seem that way, at least to me.

I hope this gets passed on.

Maybe SOME people will get the message. The world does Not owe you a living.

there are no words to describe the ignorance of that e-mail

Yeah, unfortunately I saw it last night.

My favorite is the "no one looted." part. No crap; it's ten degrees outside. A big-screen just isn't worth the effort!

Big deal. They live in the mountains. They knew it was coming, right? They were asking for it, right?

That was their reasoning towards us. So what's with the patting themselves on the back?

I notice that they didn't list that they lost everything they owned and had no home to return to. Maybe it was just an oversight. If they need to relocate to N.O. to get away from the snow storm tell them to let us know. We'll put up shelter for them.

And how far did those people have to evacuate? How long were they away from home. Are their homes still livable? Did anyone lose their job or business? Was anyone forced to relocated to another city or state? etc, etc, etc

The lack of oxygen at that altitude must have been killing some brain cells.

That's not anything even remotely close to an apples to oranges comparison they are making.

And...."category 5 blizzard"? They were thawed out within 72 hours! If that's their doomsday scenario, they've got it made up there more than they realize.

A little digging on Google shows five pages worth of postings of this piece of garbage. It seems to have been posted on messageboards all over the place.

Who knows where these things get started.

wow DD.....but ou can bet that those morans would never say anything like that to any one of our faces.....it's truly amazing what people will say from their keyboard

It almost makes me wish that all of that freakin snow would have melted instantly and rushed 8 feet of water in their neighborhoods. And after that happened, it continued to fill the streets rendering their vehicles useless. Be very very careful what you say, Karma can be a beast....
