The 2016 New Orleans Saints look quite similar to the teams of the past two seasons — electric offense, a defense that crumbled in the worst moments and, in the end, a loss to start the season.

Undrafted rookie kicker Wil Lutz missed a 61-yard field goal wide left as time expired, and the Oakland Raiders beat the Saints, 35-34, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday.

The Raiders took a 35-34 lead with 47 seconds left in the game, scoring on a 10-yard reception by Seth Roberts and then going for a 2-point conversion instead of kicking an extra point to tie. Michael Crabtree won a jumpball against Saints rookie cornerback Ken Crawley to convert the 2.
