Drew Brees and his Saints wasted little time atoning for last week´s sins.
The quarterback picked apart the Tampa Bay defense early and often, completing his first 11 passes en route to a 31-14 victory that left the Saints alone atop the NFC South with a 6-2 record and twice as many wins as they had last year.
Brees had plenty of help from an offensive line that kept the Bucs off the sack sheet and a rookie wide receiver who has the whole NFL buzzing.
Marques Colston, a seventh-round draft choice out of little Hofstra, was the last Saint off the field Sunday, high-fiving New Orleans fans leaning over the railing for a glimpse of a potential Rookie of the Year.
