BACKFIELD UPDATE: New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton was vague about how he plans to use his tailbacks Sunday against Buffalo. But he said the team has confidence in second-year pro Lynell Hamilton, who may play a significant role.

"He had a good training camp. He's a guy that made the roster, " Payton said. "All these guys on the roster are guys we have to count on."

Mike Bell is expected to miss three to four weeks with a sprained knee, though he hasn't been ruled out of Sunday's game. Pierre Thomas is still on the mend from a knee sprain.
