New Orleans Saints tailback Reggie Bush said he's been eager to make up for his disappointing performance at Dallas last Thursday, when he dropped a potential touchdown pass and fumbled a punt return during his first game back from a broken fibula.
"I never like to make excuses," Bush said when asked if it was just a case of rust. "I think it was just a matter of not protecting the ball and not making some key catches. So I think that's all it is. There's no excuses. And try to get better this week."
Bush said "you definitely get out of a rhythm" and, "When you're not doing it consistently every week, week in and week out, you can definitely get into a little bit of a funk." But he said that just means you have to work harder in practice to get back into that rhythm, which is what he plans to do this week.
