Range ammo came in from Ill. all i need now is my Rhodesian sling and cleaning stuff. Fricking rained so no range today.....

been out the hunting game for a while but nice looking rifle. When did the .260 come into play? I have a weatherby .270, thought the next lower grade bullet was a .223. Its been a while so go easy

It was introduced in '97(per wiki) and is pretty much just a 6.5x55 swede with the parent case being the .308. I had settled on the swede or .260 and this one just kinda fell into my lap after a few weeks of looking. The prohunter in .260 was made from 2000-2004(IIRC) but i am not sure how many were produced. Supposed to be a great pretty much anything up to black bear round for those of us who are recoil shy or have had injuries.

The .243, .260, 7mm-08, .308, .338 all use the "same" brass.
