While I’m sure hand size matters, the main factor is how many times did Burrow fumble the past 2 seasons? Not many if at all that I can remember.

He has plenty of zip on his passes and NFL balls are slimmer than college balls making them easier to hold. I just don’t see it being an issue.

Over the past 10 years, a mere three quarterbacks with 9-inch hands have attempted more than 300 passes -- Goff, Tannehill and Chad Henne. During that span, none of them has a Total QBR above 55.-PER ESPN article.

I agree Trey, but this quote from the article is interesting. I still think Joe will be great in the NFL, but I’m still shocked about the statistic

Agree. It’s significant.

Payton has said their benchmark is right at 9. Others have put it at 9 1/4.

It’s really pushing it. Meanwhile, Love at 10 1/2 and Herbert at 10 are interesting.

Pat Mahomes is 9 1/2. That’s not that much different than 9, imho.

Really? I’d say 1/2 inch is quite significant. Especially when we’re talking about being right at the established benchmark vs well over it.

They obviously put it in place bc of the size of the football. A full half inch would make a major difference in grip, IMO.
