Our defense wasn't even that bad in 2011. I mention that because the media uses our pourous defense as an excuse as to why our offensive stats are inflated. Which is a ridiculous excuse in itself...

this,but the Niners also had the 3rd ranked defense that year. It's not a fluke. Defense does win championships.

Taking my Saints glasses off, I will say that the Rams 99 offense was the best that I have ever seen. I am sure they don't own every offensive record but they sure as hell seemed to score every time I saw them.

I agree with my fellow WhoDats that the '09 Saints and '11 Saints have got to be in the running. But on another note, the Colts (with Peyton Manning) were not listed either.

I guess that's because Peyton went to Newman HS, and is from New Orleans.

Neither the 09 or 11 Saints even on the 'also considered' list.

The 2011 Saints offense is arguably the best offense in the history of the league, it's not even on the damn list. They can't even use the argument that it didn't win a Lombardi because only 3 teams on that list were world champions.
