Extra point is blocked and other team gains possession in the field of play. They then retreat into the end zone and are tackled.

Any other time it's 2 points, but on the Xpt it's only 1. Crazy huh?

Sorry. Missed that video at first. So, yeah. Strange. I mean...the rule makes complete sense. But, retreating back into the end zone...why? If you can't return it, go down. The play is dead at that point.

He was just looking to return it for whatever the points would be. Probably didn't think there would be any repercussions to getting tackled in their own endzone on a XP try.

Correct. If by some odd reason the holder wants to sabotage his team and run backwards through the back of his own end zone or if the "The Hulk" is playing long snapper and snaps the ball 90+ yards behind the LOS and the offense gets tackled in their end zone, that too will be considered a conversion attempt safety.

I think a drop kick is 3 points. Just basically a FG without holder. May be wrong.

It's still around, but makes no conceivable sense to try, especially now from the 15. But, it would be valid for a PAT if someone wanted to try it.
