Winston is really Drew's biggest fan.

Talk a good game?Jameis talks a good game, but can he back it up on the field? I think we need to give him a chance because of his up side.
It's pretty common for QB to mature and the lights not coming on until they are in their late 20's - early 30's. I'm for giving him a chance but not putting all our eggs in his basket.
Talk a good game?
I mean he can't play ball till September.
What else he supposed to do? All he does is train, media, charity, and family this offseason. He's already backed up his talk. It's about if it translate to the field.
So, taking a back up role and coming to this organization to learn and be humble isn't a football action? You don't get in the best shape of your life and call it not a football action? You don't go to the very same QB coach, Tim Couch, that Brees went to in 2006 and say that has nothing to do with football. Being a better person doesn't make you a great leader and an important trait for a QB? I guess that's not a football action either. For the 1st time in his career, he admitted to the issue of his game. Saints staff has openly said that Winston IQ from when he enter the build and season end took a huge leap. You don’t back up your talk, without positive action as it relates directly to the talk. He has done nothing in that regard, yet! The offseason talk; charity thing, family...etc., has ZERO to do with his football actions.
Everyone knows, it is not football season. You do not need to point that out. I think the poster you replied to certainly understands that as well as was stated, he wants to wait until the season plays, to see what progress Jameis has made. Did he not?
I think people forget he could of easily went home to his millions of dollars. Instead he is doing the painstaking process of working on himself and game. Him coming here for almost nothing shows that. He definitely doesnt need football he is set for life, more important he wants it.So, taking a back up role and coming to this organization to learn and be humble isn't a football action? It's funny how you want disclude what's what. What Jamies is talking about is football, life, and self critique. All of those things has some affect on his football action.
Being disengenious like he's trying to con you is pretty pathetic. He has put in the work. He has backed up his talk on everything except getting to show it on the field. If Winston was doing all this talking with really nothing to show for it. I'd 100 agree with everyone that doubts him, but he has a huge list of things that he has shown from it after one year. At the end of the day, It's all about if it translate to the field and if he becomes the starter. I'm not gonna pretend that Winston "Just Been Talking". He's been putting in a lot of work.
