Whatever else, I'm starting to buy in to Jameis. If nothing else, he's said all the right things.

Jameis talks a good game, but can he back it up on the field? I think we need to give him a chance because of his up side.

It's pretty common for QB to mature and the lights not coming on until they are in their late 20's - early 30's. I'm for giving him a chance but not putting all our eggs in his basket.

You don’t back up your talk, without positive action as it relates directly to the talk. He has done nothing in that regard, yet! The offseason talk; charity thing, family...etc., has ZERO to do with his football actions.

So, taking a back up role and coming to this organization to learn and be humble isn't a football action? You don't get in the best shape of your life and call it not a football action? You don't go to the very same QB coach, Tim Couch, that Brees went to in 2006 and say that has nothing to do with football. Being a better person doesn't make you a great leader and an important trait for a QB? I guess that's not a football action either. For the 1st time in his career, he admitted to the issue of his game. Saints staff has openly said that Winston IQ from when he enter the build and season end took a huge leap.

I think people forget he could of easily went home to his millions of dollars. Instead he is doing the painstaking process of working on himself and game. Him coming here for almost nothing shows that. He definitely doesnt need football he is set for life, more important he wants it.

It still seems like people are leaning on Winston to lead this franchise and not projecting him in this offense as a weapon for Payton to use just he has done with every other offensive player that made Payton say "look we have a vision for this player".

It may help not to think of Winston as a player your depending on to win and just another offensive weapon for Payton to play with.
