A letter NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wrote to fans outlining potential changes to help improve the game's pace of play was released on Wednesday, taking aim at a few pet peeves revolving around NFL broadcasts.
From a broadcast standpoint, Goodell wrote that the league will be working to reduce "down time and the frequency of commercial breaks during the game."
As an example, Goodell wrote that the NFL is trying to eliminate when the game goes to commercial before a kickoff, then goes right back to commercial after the kickoff.
