NFL Network commentator Brian Baldinger on the sidelines during the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida on September 18, 2006. The Jaguars won 9-0.

Four years after the NFL cracked down on the Saints for running a bounty program, the league has cracked down on one of its in-house analysts for advocating a bounty program.

Brian Baldinger, the NFL Network analyst who said in a radio interview that the Eagles should put a bounty on Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, has been suspended by NFL Network.

Good for him. In his down time, maybe he could go get his pinkie looked at.

Meanwhile, not one peep from the NFL about the Vikings' bounty program.

I definitely think his comments were ignorant, but once again Goodell punishes more for words than actions...just like he did with Saints who had one of the lower amount of flagrant penalties during bounty gate year.

What words? He had no words to go on. He had no evidence. It was all made up.

So that they suspend him for, but his comment about a bad play action pass attempt being like trying to "hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk" goes unpunished? Man, the NFL is stupid.
