Nick Toon primed for breakout year with New Orleans Saints (2 Viewers)

I've never been a "college ball guy", and my memory is failing me. Is Toon a speed guy?

I've been waiting for the axe to fall on Henderson for a couple years now. I don't think he's as fast as he used to be, and while last year was better insofar as drops go, he still has a history with problems in that area. We might be finding a way to trim our cap through attrition.

Devery retiring or not being re-signed would be a big boost for Toon, because it would solidify Joe Morgan as Devery's replacement and not as Toon's competition. Still if the Saints bring in a drafted receiver, UDFA, or free agent, Toon will be fighting for a roster spot. If the last spot comes down to Toon and Cadet it would be hard for me to take him over Cadet.

Didn't run great at the combine, but ran 4.38 to low 4.4 on his pro day. he does have some speed and was able to get deep in college some.

I think he is more the heir apparent to Colston's role; we need a speed guy.
