Grop had zero time. I mean, he didn't even have enough time to set up screens. You have the best FB and TE in the game, there's no excuse for not giving the QB time. On the flip side, the 49ers have almost no legitimate receivers so the defense can pin their ears back.

The loss of Sanders hurts the 49ers more than it helps us. They will struggle. But I also give credit to the Cards. To pull out a week 1 win with all those moves in the off-season is impressive. I think they accomplished what Tampa was hoping for today.

It’s difficult to repeat that level of success. Teams have studied you. They circle you on the schedule. Arizona got better too. Depending on how the Rams do tonight that could be a division with four good teams.

My old NFCW hate is still alive and well inside of me. Today's outcomes were almost perfect. Saints win, Bucs, Falcons, Panthers, and 49ers lost. I just needed the Rams to lose and that would have been the coup de grâce.

NFC West is pretty stacked this year. Hopefully makes it hard for any of them to challenge the #1 seed
