If they're standing, they will talk less. I have seen it in action. It's not the people leading the meetings that make it long. It's everyone else that has to chime in. The people that want to be included. The people that brown-nose. The people that have to one-up someone else. The people who want to be recognized. The people who don't pay attention because they're on their phones so the person leading the meeting feels they need to either repeat or expand on what they just said. If everyone would just shut up, we could all get done with this damn meeting and we can get on with our lives and I say this as the person who often runs the meeting. I don't want to be there either but you ****-ups need direction and/or clarification as to what is expected.No. The problem with meetings is that people talk too much.
Chairs are just tools of micro-aggression anyway.
