When Willie Snead’s contract expires after the season, he’s not going to sit down and try to negotiate his next contract as a quarterback.

But that also doesn’t mean that his ability to throw the ball after connecting with Tim Hightower on a 50-yard pass last week against the Los Angeles Rams.

“When that time comes we’ll see what’s on the table,” Snead said. “It just gives me a little more leverage.”

The wide receiver was clearly joking, but he has been enjoying the aftermath of his touchdown pass. Several people have contacted him this week, asking if he played quarterback before, and Snead has been steadily directing them to YouTube, where his high school clips can be found.

And those clips are impressive. He was an all-state player as a senior at Muskegon (Mich.) Heights after completing 126-of-180 passes for 2,200 yards with 13 touchdowns and one interception. He also had 172 carries for 1,083 yards and nine touchdowns.
