No surprise... Calvin Johnson NFL-bound (1 Viewer)

Well this takes Detroit out of the running for Russell. Millen is salivating at the chance to draft a big WR.

He reminds me of Colston.

Uh oh! There we go. Our first liking to Colston.

Get used to it ya'll.

i HOPE someone takes him before #10 (falcowns pick)...cause Calvin wants to be on that team.

Any chance he'll be there at 32? One can only dream!

He's a top 5 pick...

1. Raiders - Jamarcus Russell - QB
2. Lions - Brady Quinn - QB
3. Cards - Joe Thomas - OT
4. Bucs - Calvin Johnson - WR
5. Packers - Adrian Peterson - RB
6. Redskins - Jamaal Anderson - DE
7. Texans - Marshawn Lynch - RB
8. Browns - Marcus McCauley - CB
9. Vikings - Jeff Samardzija - WR or Quinn Pitcock - DT
10. Rams - Laron Landry - FS

Wow that's definitely the highest I've seen Samardzija going, especially considering that Jarrett (who I think will declare), Ginn, and Bowe will all still be on the board. Not saying it's impossible, and I think he's a really good player, but I hadn't seen him as a top ten pick.

EDIT: Also, where in the world is your draft order coming from??

I really, really, really hope the bucs do not get Jarrett or Johnson.

I think Ginn is the best receiver in the draft and I think Johnson is overrated, certainly not worth a top 5 pick imo....

There is no doubt one of our division rivals will get a stud WR. Even Carolina wouldn't pass up someone to replace MeShawn. Our counter has to be going after the best FA corner available, which I think is Nate Clements. We have bigger holes at DT and MLB to draft a CB, but we really need to address that spot. Calvin Johnson is the best college WR i've seen since..........Randy Moss. That was before he was a total head case. They just said on ESPN Calvin Johnson runs a 4.38 and has a 47in. verticle, I didn't think that was even possible.

You have fallen completely on your head. He can't do anything more to prove himself. He was on a GT team with very average talent all around him. The only other person most ppl know on that whole team is the quarterback Ball...and guess why they know him. If you watch Johnson he's big, physical, can jump out of the stadium RARELY drops balls and isn't an egotistical primadonna. I don't think there is one thing about him that says "overrated" He's this years Reggie Bush as far as being a sure thing.

I have never, and I repeat, never seen a wide receiver I'd rather have on my team. I actually teared up when he decided against UGA for rival Tech. (OK, that is a bit of a stretch. I didn't actually cry. I had something in my eye.) Think Terrell Owens with more speed, better hands, and a completely opposite attitude. He may flop, as many sure fire players have in the past, but I'd stake it all on him if we had a realistic shot at getting him. He's that good.

I've seen a lot of big time college receivers get picked early in the last several years and they do not live up to the hype, many of them are the same as Johnson, Big, Physical fast etc etc, I'm not saying he sucks or anything obviously he's had a GREAT career year but top 5 is too high.

I think Adrian Peterson is probably the surest thing in the draft, that's the type of guy you can build a franchise around.

I'll take the heat if I'm wrong, that's fine with me.
