No wins against good teams (1 Viewer)

Let's not try to overreact much yet.

So if the Saints beat Seattle or Dallas those weren't good teams?

BTW, do you know the number of times the Saints possessed the ball (drives) vs Rams drives, or number of Saints plays ran vs Rams plays ran, or TOP?

Points scored on Offense is a valid concern, but the Saints moved the ball, ran almost equal amount of plays, equal number of possessions, and almost equal TOP. So the narrative of the Saints not possessing the ball enough or not long enough caused the lack of point production doesn't fit IMO.

Penalties, O line blocking, WR drops are what killed the Offense's point production IMO. Teddy made errors too, but I didn't see anything that couldn't be corrected to allow the Saints O to beat a good team EVEN WITHOUT Drew. Certainly the O line looked demoralized after losing Drew. The entire team was demoralized and it was also a short week after a physical and emotional MNF win.

And let's not pretend the Saints haven't been beat by more than 18 points before even with Drew at QB.

The O-Line was playing poorly before Brees got hurt.

Saints will not score and possess ball enough against good teams with Brees out. Expect to lose all of those games similarly to Rams score something like 24-10. Against all other teams the games will be ugly with the Saints winning about half of them. No sure victories.

The Saints have just finished the toughest gauntlet of games against teams with a collective record of 11-5 that I can ever remember to start a season. On top of that they did it with their starting HOF QB going down early in week 2. And just to put a lot of icing on the cake, they've done it with most of the nfl officiating crews trying to use every excuse they can to put them in a hole on almost every offensive & defensive drive.

This team has something almost no talking head ever talks about, but is the most important ingredient of a championship team. Every single player on this team is putting the team above themselves & that unselfishness is shining through as championship character & championship chemistry. And that chemistry & character has been proven by fire.
