How about Casey hampton as a stop gap option to carry us over until we find a younger option? He's been a stalwart on that steeper defense and a main reason for their excellent run defense in the past. I know he's a bit older but I still think he could be a good, cheap option for us to look at.

I think that Franklin or Hampton would both be good 1-year stop gaps that at least gives us a NT capable of play 0-tech in spots. It all depends on whether or not the Saints sign Jean-Francois. If JF is signed...the Saints are actually pretty solid on the D-line...and they would probably focus their efforts to OLB and the secondary (and LT of course).

I just feel like bunkley isn't going to be all that great at that nose spot. Maybe we get lucky and have someone sign away ivory to pick up a 2nd rounder to draft John Jenkins or Hankins in the 2nd.
