SAINTS POSTGAME NOTES
• The Saints defeated the Chargers 19-17, improving their preseason record to 1-1. New Orleans will return to action Saturday, Aug. 24 when they play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CST. The game will be broadcast live on the Gray Communications family of stations (WVUE-Fox-8).
• The Saints finished with 324 yards, including 163 rushing yards and 161 passing yards. New Orleans outgained Los Angeles on the ground; Los Angeles finished with 78 rushing yards and 226 passing yards.
• Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater started for New Orleans and played until the final 1:38 of the first half, finishing 5-of-12 for 40 yards, an interception, and a fumble lost.
