Worth thinking about for those who wonder how you win in the playoffs.
The NY Times football blog gives credit for their home-town team's championship to the GM who built the current team, but stepped down just before the start of this season, Ernie Accorsi.

This is more uplifting than writing: Who Gets the Blame?
I’ll start it off with (maybe) an unconventional pick: Ernie Accorsi, the general manager who stepped down before this season.
When I think of the Giants’ playoff run, I picture bodies flying by and hurtling at Tony Romo, Brett Favre and Tom Brady.
The season in a sentence: You can never have enough pass rushers.
I did a Web search after those words stuck in my mind, and sure enough, Accorsi had said: “You never, ever have enough pass rushers.”"
