The Giants and defensive end Justin Tuck have agreed to terms on a five-year, $30-million contract that includes $16 million in guaranteed money, according to two people with knowledge of the contract details. The people requested anonymity because the deal isn't expected to be finalized and signed until today -- two days before the Giants face the Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

I think 5 years 30 million is going to be standard for a solid to above solid defensive player.

That's a really good price that they got him at - the kid can play.

I know that they rotate all of those DEs a good bit, but Justin Tuck's name rings out everytime he's on the field.

He's just a playmaker, simply put.

20 million guranteed. This guy got 16 million.
Yeah, not much of a difference in NFL dollars.

People get too tied up in the big numbers that are announced. Those huge deals like Grant got are so heavily backloaded and voidable that they seldom even see 50% of the contracts value.
