When was the last time the saints used the franchise tag on a player?

Was it Drew Brees just briefly before he got a new contract?

I like that we don’t use the tag. It’s good for business. I hope we don’t use it on any of the three remaining guys, Kamara Ramczyk and Lattimore.

It's a lot harder to replace a great CB then it is to replace a great RB. As well as the difference in the lifespan of a CB and a RB.

I know you cant replace an Alvin Kamara. There is no one in the league like him. You can sign a couple players that do what he does well to try and compensate for the production.

A shutdown corner is more important on the road to a Superbowl then a RB is.

In saying this I hope we keep all 3, I love them all and I think all 3 of then will be vital to our chances of winning another Lombardi.
