QB - 75%

From what I read, the QBs in this draft are more in quantity than quality, and the 2009 draft is apparently weak in QBs. So I'm thinking we need a QB to groom, maybe as a backup to Brees, so 80% chance of drafting a QB. So this year, not next year, we draft a QB.

WR - 75%

Gotta be high....Payton loves to have toys on offense, and I'm sure there's a handful of WRs he'd love to have. Pretty sure we pick a WR regardless of our needs on D. One more point - if we draft a WR, it's gonna say alot of what we think about Meachem.

LB or CB: 100%

Easy call. Need some youth for both LB or CB. Question becomes, do we select a LB or CB in the 1st 3 rounds?

RB: 60%

Payton likes more toys on offense, so even though I thought we were set last year, we move up to draft Pittman. So gotta be over 50%.

OL - 50%

Seems like we have alot of young OL studs. Which means, we'll probably draft one.

TE: 40%

Not sure, but we don't have a track record for drafting tight ends. Gotta be below 50%.

S: 30%

I think Saints mgmt likes our safeties, which really makes me worried. So chances of drafting one are pretty low

LOL,

If we take a CB or LB early, we will take the other, also early. Two picks not one.

No DT? Let's see. I think we will, early.

OK, 3 down, the rest are anybody's guess.

I think the folks mentioning OL are kidding a bit. We do it every year and leave us fans scratching our heads on some of it!

Enjoyed your post!

I think it says more about our depth. We have Colston, Copper and Meachem under contract right now. We actually have to draft one even if Meachem looks like Jerry Rice right now.

I would actually put the chances of drafting a RB higher. This years class is ridiculously deep, and I've heard a lot of murmurs of the Saints eyeing a few.

Nah we'll take some flashy college junior with a massive reputation in a position where we alrady have five excellent players, He'll get himself a celebrity girlfriend and won't suit up for three years.

Then we'll take five straight small college offensive guards, and a CB in round 7. :)

Still we once took a kicker in round one...We are the Saints after all

Payton once said he''ll draft an OL every year and he wants a qb too. My guess is that if Henne/Ainge/Booty are there in the 4th then one will be a Saint.
