everybody is picking Pittsburgh because they are defending champions and they cant believe that there 2-6, there being picked because of what they used to do, not because of what they are doing now, just like the Saints are picked to lose not because of what they are doing 6-2 (top 10 Offense, top 15 Defense) but because of who we "used" to be..........i'm just glad this is coming on television cause i really wanna see this game!!

that's why i really think today's game is important. if we stink up the place, then they are right, and we don't deserve any respect. Seems every year we start out decently, the bottom falls out. Even as fans we almost expect it , although we won't publicly admit it. In past years we definately lose this game againt a team that needs to snap out of a slump. In order to break that trend we need to win.

yeah, yeah, if we lose we are 6-3 and probably tied for the div lead, but all those calling us to lose to a slumping team are correct...so we need this, imo

Not necessarily.

If we pull it out the pundits will just fall back to, "well, Pitt is 2-6 and not a very good football team right now."

It's gonna take a well played game or convincing win over a clear contender.

Gonna have to maybe go 2 of 3 agianst Cincy, the Giants and Carolina to get taken seriously, assuming we take care of San Fran and the Redskins

Well in their defense, and I can't believe I'm defending them, they are probably looking at recent history. The last time Pittsburgh was on a 3 game losing streak this season they came out and destroyed the Chiefs in the 4th game. They probably figure the same thing will happen again.
