Loomis’ inability to make the tough decisions and start the rebuild in earnest 2 seasons ago is partly to blame too. Thinking he was gonna just replace 2 HOFers at QB and Coach while overpaying old players to stay semi competitive was insanity. That’s not how the NFL works

It's called him and this FO/organization being cheap and hiring a terrible, retread failed Raiders HC instead of paying a bit more money to hire halfway-decent, new and modern up-and-coming OC and DC after the 2021 season. Plus, I think taking Loomis' age in 2021 and even now into consideration, he was too old, maybe was uncertain or didnt know who to look for or didnt want to look for a decent replacement.

So, he went the cheap, bargain-basement route and hoped it wouldn't burn him too quickly or soon.
