Pretty much this. He isn’t playing against any first teamers. He stays on this season as the 3rd string (and ST), next year he comes to compete for major qb consideration.

And I'm happy to see that. In this drive I liked what I saw. Not just run, run, run, but scanning the field and throwing the ball on intermediate passes, only running when really necessary.

We have two QB's behind Brees that could hold the fort down in the near future if Brees retires...with the talent around this signal callers by the time Brees retires they'll be prime ready to step in with already developed relationships with the skill players.

Hill really bounced back. That says something.

There's still potential there to work with. If he can continue to contribute on special teams and be a wildcard at times, definitely worth hanging on to because he is showing progress.

Hill looks great tonight. I think he was just playing tight last week. He has the tools to be a good QB. Great arm, quick release, competitive drive, and the cat can run. He just needs to develop some more. He has time.
