WHO DAT, Saints Nation! WHO DAT!!!! A battle of NFC divisional leaders in action at Southern California, as our 8-2 and NFC North division leading New Orleans Saints are in Downtown Los Angeles to play the 7-2 and NFC West leading Los Angeles Rams.
Saints defensive backs Marcus Lattimore and Ken Crawley will not play this afternoon with their ankle and abdomen injuries, and did not practice last week.
Saints are playing the Rams for the first time for a NFL regular season game in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 38 years. Saints beat the Rams in their last visit and game by the score of 29-14, at the Memorial Coliseum back on December 16, 1979.
New Orleans also followed the LA Rams when both teams play 14 regular season games between 1980 through 1994, before the LA Rams moved to St. Louis, MO, for the next 21 seasons, before arriving back the The City Of The Angels in January 2016.
Saints won 9 of the 14 regular season games at Anaheim, including winning the last game 31-15 back on December 4, 1994.
L.A. Rams though still leads the all-time series, including 1 postseason game, at 40 wins and 33 losses in today's 74th meeting.
A win by the Saints would make then acheive 9 wins, since New Orleans finished with 11-5 record in their 2013 NFL season.
Jim Nantz and former Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo are announcing the live TV game commentary, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Tracy Wolfson, for the NFL On CBS's primary single header game, seen regionally in the USA, and locally on WWL CBS Channel 4 in NOLA, live on HD.
Jim Henderson and former Saints RB Deuce Mc Allister are also announcing the live radio game play-by-play and analysis, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Kristin Garic, simulcast on The Gulf South's regional radio powerhouse, flagship stations
WWL 870AM and 105.3FM, the Saints Radio Network, and on your devices he WWL radio mobile app.
Mostly sunny skies at 65 degrees is the forecast inside the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, for the 3:25 Central Standard Time kickoff.
NO injuries, try to win your seventh straight game this afternoon, and GEAUX SAINTS!!!!! WHO DAT!!!!!
